The St. Miguel Febres Cordero FSC Neurodevelopmental Center of the De La Salle University Medical Center was established in 2003. With the exponential growth of the neurodevelopmental center (NDC), there was a need to train more developmental pediatricians. This call was answered by two of the founding members of the Philippine Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (PSDBP) and NDC, Dr. Joel Lazaro and Dr. Ma. Rochelle Pacifico. With the help of Dr. Madeleine Grace Sosa and the dynamic DLSUMC Department of Pediatrics, the section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship training program was born on January 2016.
